7 in. H x 10 in. W Item (Overall)

This black velvet bonnet is made to fit on the back part of the head. The back of the bonnet has a circular section of pleated black velvet. Attached to that is a band of 2 inch wide black velvet making up the top and sides of the bonnet. There is a velvet bow at the top of this band. Around the front is a 2 inch wide "brim" of pleated black velvet that widens slightly near the top. It is lined with what feels like cardboard to stiffen this brim. there are two black tie strings attatched to the sides of the bonnet made of silky grosgrain ribbon. This ribbon also makes a black bow at the back of the bonnet. The inside of the hat is lined with a stiff pellon-like material.
